They probably didn't get the last inspection round done because they knew they were selling, let it be the new owner's problem ...

It occurs to me to wonder if the owner has other properties. And swapped out good extinguishers with ones from other properties *after* the inspection, but before the sale.
A third party did the inspection last year. I know the prior owners have other properties (although I couldn't say for how much longer) but I don't know if corporate will go after them for this or not.
(My company is buying out a number of competitors nation-wide. This is our second new property for the district in two years, and rumor has it that we will be getting three or four new properties in the district by December or January)
