  • controversial drunk driving commercial pulled from TV

Actual TV commercial of teenager measuring his penis!

This commercial was pulled by ICBC (the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia... they are the gov't owned auto insurance company) because of it's 'suggestive' nature.

It's part of a series of commercials wherein people are caught doing things you don't want to get caught doing. This video is somehow supposed to stop people from driving drunk.

Oh, and the government corporation spent $1.7 million on this ad campaign...

Pretty funny, I'll admit as suggestive and controversial as the commercial was (to the majority of the public) I think it was a good concept.

That's so silly. Because it's perfectly okay to have women in suggestive commercials! That's done all of the time!

The commercial is really clever! C'mon guys, who has NOT done that! And no, y'all really don't need to chime in here.

          That's why I love Australia.
You seem to be able to be a bit more suggestive with the ads.
My favourite was this one for speeding.
          You know everyone thinks this.

LOL! That's really clever! I'll remember to do that when I see this in traffic.

I don't see any issue with that commercial (and the speeding one is great).
