Back in Luuuuziana, even tho Blue Laws are a thing of the past even there, people are so used to the restrictive hours that most places aside from fast food and gas stations are only open from noon to 5 or 6 on Sundays anyway, as they know most of their customers won't show up outside of those hours."For a musician, the SNES sound engine is like using Crayola Crayons. They used to have those where my family used to go to the beach, at least until the mid 80's. So Sunday nights were a little boring. We could go to the beach during the day, but going on rides or playing video games wasn't possible. I remember we tried a few different beaches and went a few years without going to that particular one, and then we came back in 1990 and everything was open every day.

"I look at the stars. It's a clear night and the Milky Way seems so near. That's where I'll be going soon. "We are all star stuff." I suddenly remember Delenn's line from Joe's script. Not a bad prospect. I am not afraid. In the meantime, let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's all."

Yeah, unfortunately North Dakota still has Sunday shopping laws. Gas stations aren't affected, nor are grocery stores or restaurants. Anything else? Forget it untill after 12:00. Lived here for 2 years now, and it still catches me.
Most banks are not open Saturday's either. Had to open an account with one of the few that are. One of these days I'll be able to move elsewhere and not know what to do at finding places open

I remember reading, I don't remember if it was for my state or not...that they had blue laws, but they were revoked after a period of time.
Why? People were driving 50 miles south across the state line so they could go shopping after church. It got revoked then.
