The mood managers I've known can all DIAF.
I was told at one job that I seemed to have a bad attitude when I came in to work. I pointed out that just because I came in at 10 pm, it didn't mean that I had been awake that long, and that I was like anyone else who had just started their day with a long commute and hadn't had their coffee yet.
At another job, my supervisor started avoiding my desk. Other employees noticed and remarked on this. Nothing was said to me though, until my review, of course. Then I was told that I looked grumpy, so she wasn't comfortable talking to me. I told her that if she had stopped and asked, I would have told her that I was suffering chronic migraines for a few months, and that I had recently started a daily medication that had reduced them by 90%. Cue blonde wind tunnel ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo from her. No one misses her.
