I am talking to one of my friends who's on a ship still.
the last port visit (I won't say where) they apparently had a rule about wearing collared shirts.
Apparently 200 people have been put on Class Charlie liberty - which means they can wear civilian clothes when they're off work, but they can't leave the ship even to take trash out... because they came back to the ship wearing something other than a collared shirt.
Fuck, I'm glad I'm not there right now. I do miss the Navy sometimes but... not when the chain of command is being stupid.
( i also love the fact that I can bad-mouth a chain of command without repercussion )
