    I hope not - we've been separated 8 years.
You wouldn't necessarily. If anything comes up, check with your attorney. My parents were separated for 21 years before my father passed away, and city hall couldn't even find any official documentation recording the separation, but my mother was not held responsible for any debts he might have had (and I suspect there were some). He even owed some taxes at one point and all they ever asked my mother for was his address so they could chase him down.
When you start at zero, everything's progress.

bats my hand out of the way
it's one thing to grab the last item before someone else does but... maybe it's cos i had so much coffee today... but my evil pepper side is very feisty. and some crazy bitch who wants to push me out of the way would find herself facing a very angry - and hopefully scary - pepper.

      rar.

I hope he didn't have any debts when he died, as you would now be legally responsible for them.
I was thinking the opposite - start checking for life insurance, bank accounts, etc.

        Madness takes it's toll....
