(new here, Hi)
You know the customers who see what they want to see? We have a few advertisements claiming "Discounts up to 60%", which some customers translate to "60% discount on everything". This day I tried to help a customer who saw the disappointment she wanted to see.
SC: Hi, you don't have that bench in stock do you?
Me: I believe we do, let me check.
SC: Because there was a tag attached saying "Sorry but..."
Me: Actually, that tag says "Sorry, this show model is not for sale, ask our staff for a new one"
(I know because I made that tag, so I take the customer to the stock and show one)
SC: Oh, well, I'm riding a bicycle here so I can't take it with me, but I'll be back for it later.
I have been selling furniture some years now, but I've never know a customers asking to be disappointed.
