  • Deep Fry'd Burgers

Thinking about doing this for dinner tonight.
I have several frozen patties and some 2lbs of frozen ground beef.
Should I thaw the frozen patties or make patties fresh? Or should I grill the patties first?

I don't have bread crumbs, but I think I've got saltines. OR I can do a beer batter.
I think I'll just fry the patty, not the whole burger like a Monte Cristo.

If you use flour, it's basically chicken-fried steak. Maybe google a recipe? It's basically coating them in seasoned flour and pan-frying in a little oil.
"Is it hot in here to you? It's very warm, isn't it?"--Nero, probably

Chicken fried steak is usually made with cube steak, or, at least, it is around where I live.

Freshly ground (never frozen) beef is best for burgers. We'll make a huge batch (completely fill up the grill) then freeze the cooked burgers. That way we always have cooked burgers on hand. Very easy to heat up in the microwave.
      Don't wanna; not gonna.

I'd thaw the patties, bread 'em, and give it a whirl. Worse comes to worse, you peel the coating off and slap 'em between some bread slices. I deep fry hot dogs every once in a while if I'm making homemade french fries. Hey, why heat two things?
