One of the things that blows me away is, this was a man who was 29 when Gandhi was assassinated. He spent 27 years in prison. He still lived to be 95. What a life. What an amazing, beautiful, inspirational life.

He presided over (AFAIK) the only smooth transition from minority (colonial) to majority (indigenous) rule - Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) could have used a man like him. Definitely deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize he received - he will be missed.
