Do your research. You don't want to join the crowd of people with way too much college loan debt and a degree with no job prospects, but if teaching English in Japan is a viable career path then by all means go for it. It's good to chase your dreams, but don't run headlong into every barrier in your path because you couldn't wait five seconds to plot a safe course.

And also: enjoy the experience of college. Learn about the opportunities being there offers you, and make the most of them. I didn't, and now I regret it.

Chase your dreams, sure, but enjoy every moment of the work it takes to get to them.
      Seshat's self-help guide:
      1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
      2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
      3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
      4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.
