Freddy Transit's bus fleet sounds similar; we still have an old bus from the 80's (two actually out of a fleet of about 20) that have those push open doors. Even as a healthy fellow, I'll take the front door instead of using those doors when I can (when the bus isn't crowded) since they can be a PITA to get out of if you have bags, or even if you have broad shoulders.

Luckily, I don't think I've ever really noticed anyone complaining about going out the front door. (for any of our buses, not just those ones). I'll often go out the front door even on the newer buses since the front door opens and closes faster, so I figure it can help the driver continue on faster.
