  • Happy Solstice Everybody!

    Darkness, take flight
    Earth dreams of light
    Fire burn hot and bright
On the longest night of the year...

May you all have good health, for you and your loved ones. May the light of peace, joy and goodness burn brighter than ever in your lives.

    I love the Winter Solstice.

    I love Summer Solstice more.

I tolerate the cold, I like the heat.
I might be crazy, but I'm not Insane.

What? You don't play with flamethrowers on the weekends? You are strange.

I'm the opposite -- I tolerate the heat, and love the cold. As a Southerner, my definition of "cold" means "below 50," but still...

I'm relaxing on my bed dreaming of warmer weather right now.

It's like I told one of my vendors this morning: I didn't ask for 35 and rain. I requested 75 and sunshine and Mother Nature told me it was on backorder for the next four months.

Every day we will be getting more daylight. That's what keeps me going through the long cold winter.

You got it! That's why I celebrate the winter solstice! I celebrate the summer one, too, but the fact is that one means the days will start getting shorter. Still, I prefer warmer weather over cold.

              Same here, MoonCat.

Though, lately, it hasn't been very cold. Heck, all the snow we had (15+ inches) is gone, except for a few piles, and it's been raining all day.

At least the water and sewer lines won't freeze up like they did last winter when it was so insanely cold.

Yeah it's not cold here today and will be in the 50's tomorrow, but they're expecting a storm to move in from the east for Christmas Eve/Christmas Day.
