This has been boggling my mind for a while, and I am utterly dumbfounded by it.
When people are done and getting their bills checked, they ask the bar staff, like me, to get it checked out. It takes an insane amount of willpower personally to not tell the customer sarcastically to turn around and use the counter behind them.
Background: When you walk into the restaurant, the bar is on the left and the manager's counter is on the right, where you go to check in (get a table) and check out. On a busy day, because of the crowd we can get in the space between the bar and the counter, we get up to five tables leaving that ask for their bills at the bar.
Do people these days know how to think with their heads and not with their eyes?
