Not all cats will eat canned food. Maggie doesn't care for it; we offer it to her when we feed our other cat but she'll only have a few licks. She eats mostly dry food, so we make sure there's always fresh water for her.
Yeah, Taz is like that. Won't touch canned food. She'll just wait for me to put out the dry stuff.

I have to feed her twice a day because if it's been out too long, she won't touch it. Which is fine, I've actually had better luck controlling her weight that way (I've had trouble keeping my previous cats from being over weight; didn't realize I was overfeeding them).

Her water bowl usually lasts all day. She always drinks right after she eats.

For some reason I can't fathom, she loves drinking out of the toilet, and will drink from that in preference to her water dish. So I have to keep the lid down to keep her out of it.

Pookah turns up her nose at the juice from canned chicken, and she's not all that interested in ham. If I open a can of tuna, on the other hand, I'd better be wearing trousers. Because she will climb up my leg.
Taz wouldn't touch human food for the first three years. She won't eat commercial kitty treats, either. Recently, she's developed a thing for grated cheddar cheese. If I grate some when cooking I have to give her some or she won't leave me along until I do.

Well, the news is good! Dobby's back to eating like tomorrow's never going to arrive. While he's still not that energetic, he's taken to sitting on a chair in front of the window and watching the street. He's smacking Harry when he gets annoying. Energy levels look like they're going up again.

Dobby juuust turned two months old. I'm glad he gets to be healthy for it.
Outstanding! Sounds like he's on the mend

On the mend is right. Still looks like a cross between a furry slinky and a meowing xylophone though. I suspect one of his parents may have been an oriental breed, because he's got the typical radar ears and elfy looking facial features.

Either way. We're keeping an eye on things. His worming treatment came around again yesterday. Oh boy did I have happy kitties that day. Went through them both like a dose of salts.

If he's oriental, he'll sort of "normal out" as he gets older. Mitchell (a Tonk) had the elfy features and the big ears as a kitten, then his face pudged out when he got older (A tonk is a Siamese-Burmese cross, but you can't breed two Tonks to get another Tonk )

Hah, I didn't know that about Tonks. I'm not worried about his face looking weird. He's adorable with his massive ears, and his tiny little face. He's such an expert with his sad face!

My kittys are so adorable! I'd almost forgotten how loving a cat can be if they're socialised right. It's been a long time since my partners kitty passed away. She was 19 and had a good long life, but I'll miss her fuzzy self sitting on my lap while gaming at night. Good thing both the boys are major snugglers.

Yeah, while the Tonkinese is recognised as an official breed, the Tonkinese will have both the genes from the Siamese and the genes from the Burmese. So if you breed two Tonkinese, you're more likely to get two cats that are Tonk but the others lean closer to the Siamese or Burmese in terms of features and temprement.

Mitchell had the vocalness of the Siamese with the bulk of the Burmese.
