I went out for breakfast by myself on Monday, and while I was there, another woman was eating by herself. She was joking with the waitress, about decaf coffee, and I joked with her about the coffee as well.
We got to chatting across our tables, particularly about our animals, and I mentioned that one of my dogs is named River Song. She got so excited about that, and proclaimed, "you like Doctor Who?!", and we talked about the show, and which are our favorite Doctors, etc.
At that point, she asked if she could come to my table so we could keep chatting, and I agreed, so we ate together, chatted, and just had a great time. The waitress came by, and was surprised we were eating together, and we told her that we were just talking about stuff, and she said that she likes to talk to others like that too.
So I made a new friend while out by myself at a restaurant! I like experiences like this.
