I served an older couple today, who were friendly and chatty. They've been coming since we opened. The never buy much, but are sweet people and regulars, so we like them.
So, anyway, when I was scanning stuff I somehow mis-scanned a product. They had two, and I put it through as one.
They came back ten minutes later to give me back the single pound it cost and let me scan it again so our tills wouldn't be out.
I just thought it was very sweet. It was only a quid, and so many people would have just been happy to get something free.
