...I normally read this from my government computer. If the link might be objectionable, perhaps warning in the post?

That is the normal standard. That all "adults" material links be labeled as such.

There's nothing specifically in the rules, though when I get around to revising them there may very well be. It's more an accepted code of conduct right now to do that.

We don't allow pornography on here - too many places to find it thrust in your face, so to speak, so we don't need it - but things such as vast amounts of swearing etc are best labelled NSFW (Not Safe For Work).

I used to have a "Guidelines for posting" sticky, that mentioned disclaimers on things like that.
Will look through my files and see if I still have it.
If I can get the dust brushed off, I will put it back up.

From my personal experience at work, it's sometimes hard to tell what will make it through the firewall and what won't. I can get to snopes.com, but not zug.com. Strange stuff like that. I am sorry to say that I have gotten dinged on the firewall at work more times than I probably should have. I just don't click links from work anymore.

Actually, there was a post on another forum I run where one of the members was at a meeting about Internet security at work. The tech in charge was saying that it's so much harder to work out what sites to filter these days, "since **** is actually a porn site and thedevilspanties.com is actually a comic strip". He came straight to the DP forums and reported us as being a matter of national security

That one made our day.
