Default Stupid Wanker

This one is nice and short.

My job involves me doing the newspaper returns, i count them, sort them into their various days and them bundle them together, tie them off and send them back to the publisher. As i was tieing off one bundle this jackass customer walks past me and says to me very sarcasticaly "Gee, that must take a lot of brain power to do that job"

I was too shocked to come up with a retort as he wandered off but for gods sake how bloody rude is that!!

After a while i thought of some good comebacks such as Got more than you do, or beats being on the dole.

Hope you get hit by a car you prick.

wtf? Does he think that's the only thing that you do? Does he think that every job must be mentally intensive? Does he never have some simple task to do at his job? Something that needs to be done, but is boring? What an ASS.

Gee, that must take a lot of brain power to toddle around making unfunny, rude commentary to total strangers. WTF?

You should have said "No, it's pretty mindless, really...the kind of job you'd be great at!

I'd pick manual labour any day. The kind of mental drudgery office work requires of you is sometimes painful. I've had three non-manual, non-retail jobs in my life, and I quit all three within a week. I was bored.

Manual labour lets your mind wander....who wants to force their brain to focus on TPS reports when you could be thinking about the last book you read?

I feel sorry for such people who need a job that forces them to use their uncreative and dull minds.

I used to get comments like that all the time when I babysat the self checkout lanes at Wallyworld. Irksome to the frillionth degree.

"I know, it's great. I make money for doing practically nothing. Don't you wish YOUR job was that easy?"

Or my favorite, delivered as I sat bored behind the counter of the student lab in college:

"Yeah, I'll remember how easy it is when the power blinks again and forty students lose their term papers."

Funny how they decided to work on papers another day.
