There are moments where I'm so amazing, I even amaze myself . . .
I had one of those moments last Friday. It's freezing cold in the Receiving area, the heater is not working (it was working earlier, but I think Corporate has it set so that it shuts off after the temp reaches 32 degrees) and MA (Mouth Almighty, as our DSD Girl is now known as) is finishing up some cleaning . . .and the Pepsi truck has come in.
So, I'm back there and realize I forgot my ink pen, so I go out of the backroom area to the security room, grab a pen from my purse and a cig and go back.
I had just lit up and was checking off the pallet that Lee Jr. was pulling off the truck when everybody's favorite little brownose tattletale had to come make an appearance in the back room.
Yes, it's Mohair coming to see what's going on. Beavis was also back there, putting cardboard into the baler.
I ask him what's he's doing . . . and inadvertently let loose a puff of smoke in his direction.
He starts coughing and waving his arms . . . "Good God DG . . . you're trying to kill me" and he took off out of the backroom so fast - we saw daylight under his feet.
Beavis just looked at me and asked "What did you do?"
"Damned if I know," I answered. "But if Mohair had been in water, he'd been walking on it as fast as he fled out of here."
Then our Dairy guy come back there with a float full of cardboard and Beavis told him what I did.
Dairy guy looked at me and started laughing. I simply looked at him and smiled. "Good insect repellent. I don't need Raid."
I know my cigarettes are a bit strong (full flavored menthol at that) but I think there should be a study conducted to see how many more kinds of bugs it'll get rid of.
