Let me start off by saying I love one of my supervisors, he is one of the awesomest people when it comes to dealing with SC's.
These two (lack of a better term) hillbillies came into my cw's window. They ran their card throught the atm, okay no problem there but since they had no pin, they had to finish the process up with the cage.
Well, CW looked at their card and it didn't have his name on it. It said "valued customer" or something like that.
CW: I'm sorry sir, we will be unable to process your card. Your name is not on it. Give it a few hours and it will clear off the system and return to your card.
SCH (Husband): That is unacceptable. I want my money NOW. I am the cardholder!!
CW (was having a bad day) I'm going to get a supervisor.
I don't blame her we do not get paid enough to get yelled at.
(The best supervisor for these things ever)
SV: (Comes up all suave and professional-- but picture this, he's young like 25 young, that usually pisses people off more when a person younger than them tells them off hehe)
What seems to be the problem?
The SC went into a big rant about how he wanted his money and he's a trucker and thats why there is no name on it, etc.
Wife jumps in with: You know I can go to that machine and get money from it right now!
SV: Then by all means go ahead.
They argue some more and this is the line that made me love this man. (Not literally but its fun to see mean people get owned).
SV: No amount of arguing is going to get you your way. Unless you name is on the card we cannot do anything.
Hubbie and wife:
I went into the back and told him how awesome I think he is. I love that he sticks by his guns and backs up the cashiers. We know our job, a supervisor isn't going to change the rules.
I think he worded the arguing sentence a bit better but it was something to that effect. Basically bitch all you want but you aren't getting anything.
