Ok so this happened a few years ago but i remember it like it was yesterday. I worked in a greenhouse for four years and every once and a while you'd get some customers which made you hang your head and go "by the gods!" (or "oh my god").
Me: *restocking the vegetable section of the greenhouse, note giant green sign hanging from the ceiling that says "Vegetables"*
Customer: excuse me miss, are these strawberries? *picks up a strawberry plant with bright red strawberries on it, they were sitting next to the pepper and zucchini plants*
Me: yes ma'am they are
Customer: are they edible?
Me: ... yes ma'am, they are edible...
Customer: oh, ok *walks away without the strawberry plant*
