My sister in law bought a sugar glider (they're like a very small marsupial version of a flying squirrel - they could fit in a ping-pong ball) at the people in the south Florida fair.
She paid $400 for the cage, food, guide, and the sugar glider. She needed to wait 2 weeks for it.
It came - it died within a week.
The people who breed them are refusing to do anything for her. IMO even though they claim a 12-15 year life cycle, since they're not willing to do anything for it dying within a week, they're saying that it can happen.
Sorry, but if a pet dies within a week something is wrong with it before she got it (and she's not irresponsible).
I'm telling her to take them to small claims court and if not, we'll make sure they have a big crowd next year and ask them about this.
