Middle of nowhere, in the desert--hot during the day, freezing cold at night, miles from running water, no cellphone service...I LOVE it!
Not only that, but the eroded hills of the arroyo are *literally* hollow--over the years, water erodes through the hills, creating "mud caves." You start out entering a cave at the ground floor of the arroyo, and by the time you exit, you're standing on the top of the hill. It's incredible.
And to boot, this weekend comet Lulin will be passing by, AND Venus and the moon will be in conjunction! I don't have a telescope, but Lulin should be visible to the naked eye, and I have the zoom on my camera (10x optical)
Needless to say, I am EXCITED!
