we are customer service reps for a major airline,* and our job has its bad and good. we had a situation where a family was waiting for the arrival of thier pet from the east coast.* (we are in southern california)* some customers will arrive to pickup thier pets as soon as the aircraft touches down.* we have to explain that the customers that* the passengers luggage is first to come off to be claimed, us postal service gets thier mail next, and since we are the farthest from the terminals we get our cargo shipments last. (animals are shipped in climate controled bins in the belly of the aircraft) .*

the children seemed to be very anxious to see thier pet and were running in and out of the recieving area.* i decided to send one of our agents to retrieve the dog. sometimes the airline runners will take at least an hour or more to get shipments to us.* *we would trim off about 45 minutes off* the waiting time!* *

so i asked the parents if this was a new addition to thier family. she replied "we had moved from pennsylvania four months ago.* a few days before we moved our dog go lost in the woods by thier home".* *they had delayed thier move a few days* hoping to find thier dog, but had feared the worst and assumed the dog fell victim to another larger animal.* the dog showed up at a friends house* two months later in poor shape.* after a month or so of recovery the dog was healthy enough to travel to its family.

as she explained the situation tears welled in her eyes as she said that it was a miracle they were getting thier dog back. "he also has a brother that is going to be happy to see him too!" she said.* * * our agent arrived and the kids were extatic! the whole family were so thrilled to see thier family member.

sometimes you make a good call and it feels good . especially in this situation where "family members are re- united."* *they were so very thankful and sincere. that kinda stuff makes us feel good............* *being appreciated .... "priceless"

What a nice story. That warmed my heart.
