My main experience is with Greek mythology, so that's what I'm limited to.
Girl - Athena and Artemis are the most clever goddesses, although neither are what I would call 'loving'. Or (pulling from Greek theatre) Antigone or Ismene, the two daughters of Oedipus.
Boy - Dionysus is the god of wine, fertility (and theatre!)...kind of an upstart as you can imagine.
Hmm...give me some time, I may need to dig into one of my mythology books.
(PS. My favorite name for a loving, clever female would be Roxanne, the female lead in Cyrano de Bergerac. She exemplifies both qualities.)
