An author sent in a draft blurb (text on the back of books, mini summary etc) for his book on the first English Civil War, which FYI ran from 1642-46. All very straightforward until I read the line:

<Book> charts the rise and fall of the Royalist forces during the turbulent 1940s

Waaaaait a second... whoops. Grandma never told me about that...

OMG! I think he plagiarized that from my failed 8th grade World History midterm. I will be alerting the proper authorities of course.
