Seriously, this is NOT a freeway!

This just happened. I was going to turn left into my complex driveway and the next thing I knew, some van passed me on the left as if this were the highway! It's a one-lane residential street. Is he trying to get hit??

Happens all of the time here.

No one wants to wait 3 seconds for anything, and no one wants to be behind someone actually doing the speed limit.

If I'm making a left turn and have to wait for traffic before turning onto my street, without fail, EVERYONE behind me will try to nudge around me on the right so that they don't have to wait.

If someone is turning right, even without having to yield, everyone is clustering to wind around them so that they don't have to slow down...

I only pull stuff like that when someone is just sitting there in the middle of the road not turning or moving, or when someone is coming to a COMPLETE stop just to make a turn, even though there is no sign.

I do have to admit.. I have done that usually on the right but only when the car in question is trying to make a left at and their is a huge line of cars coming the other direction or some other situation. Normally i will be back far enough to slow and then drive by as I am following at the correct distance.

I had someone pull this same exact stunt with me a few years back.

This was also on a residential street, and there were nothing but houses, and I'm about to turn left into my driveway when some douchenozzle who was most likely not paying any attention to the road whipped around to my left, nearly getting hit in the process.

Then they had the audacity to stop and yell at me for wanting to make a freaking left turn in their way!
