Well, one came into the warehouse on a trailer today...
I was on my way back from lunch and in the stairwell off the lobby (there's an alcove next to the stairs they use for temporary storage and they keep a cart/table thingy there) was the purchasing director and a guy from animal control, transferring a little kitten from a cardboard box into a carrying cage. He was a little gray tabby, maybe about 6 weeks old, and they found him on a trailer they were unloading. They weren't sure if he had been injured by a pallet jack or not (nothing visible but she said his one paw seemed to hurt him), but he seemed pretty weak; there's a good chance he's been in that truck for a few days at least (don't know where the delivery came from)...he still managed to get a tooth into her finger through a glove, though. The purchasing director tried to get him to eat some food while they were waiting for animal control but he wouldn't eat anything. He was laying on his side and kept opening his mouth like he was crying but no sound came out. Poor little thing. I hope he's okay.
