Page counts

For some reason, when I'm in certain threads, the thread will have a 'last' page, but whenever i click to go onto that page, it brings me back to the page I was just on. Any particular reason why?

The worst victim seems to be the "Things I Am Not Allowed To Do At Work" thread.

This has actually been explained several times.
It has to do with moderated and deleted posts.

On this board's software, when a member deletes a post it only "soft deletes" it. That means deleted posts still stay in the system. Members can't see them, but mods can.
That's to prevent someone from posting, stirring up crap and deleting before a mod can even see it.

Moderated posts are invisible to the members as well, but mods are able to see them.

They affect the page count even though the members aren't able to see them.

Oh that explains it. I had noticed the page count thing before and thought it was just a glitch. I never thought about the invisible posts affecting it.
