Currently happening again.
About a year ago I moved since our last roomate just ditched us because I had a friend coming to visit for two weeks. I moved to a place that was within walking distance of my store. (I was naturally transfered to a far worst store shortly afterwards as I posted).
I've posted twice here about two different times where police set up blockades, SERT, snipers, Dogs, Command Centers, and all that over people with a gun and held up in a home. (Both of those people were black, which just pissed me off) while I was at work. I got a front view, hours of no customers, and many people taking pics of all the cops that were parked near the donut store.
Well, about two blocks from my home, there is now a currently another possible hostage situation, and police are currently talking from what I seen, though sirens have been coming for past several minutes and they are currently blocking several streets.
Granted, a police officer was killed today in a nearby town, so they might be on edge.

If you're referring to the shooting about 5:00 Thursday night, fortunately he wasn't killed. It wasn't far from my house - got to see the news helicopters as they were hovering to do their live shots. In fact, I found my house on their newscast, as they were flying to the scene.
Don't know of any other shootings in the area yesterday.

Cops make me twitchy. I'm fine with park rangers but cops make me very nervous.
