I understand there are very dominant personality type people. I am one. But there's a difference between how you handle things personally, and how you'll deal with someone professionally.
I went to work today after the eye doctors (that's a grr I won't get into), while mom ran across the river, I did a bit of work with the housekeepers to help them get done, they'd been three short.
Finished the four rooms I was given, and came up to chat with P. I have on a t-shirt and jeans, and I have my super 8 nametag on (Just in case, even though I'm not on the clock). keep this in mind.
Lady came to the desk, saw me and demanded to know why I could be back there when she couldn't.
P: "She works here. She's a desk clerk, who happened to be helping our housekeepers today."
Bitchy Woman (BW): "She doesn't work here, I come in every month and she's never been here."
I'm happy to ignore the woman, and set myself up for work tonight on the computer, but I'm still half listening.
BW: "I still say you don't work here. You have someone elses name tag on and you're stealing my information."
Lather, Rinse, repeat the same line more than once. P shakes her head and walks downstairs to do laundry, and I continue my work.
BW: "I'm a mistress of my coven and I demand you bow to me."
Me: *Finally* "Lady, you don't own my mind, I don't owe you any sort of allegiance and bowing to you is OUT of the question. So don't hold your breath."
BW: "You will bow. I will make you."
Enter guy friend (Come to rescue me
), who will help me have fun with customers. He hears her comment about bowing and winked at me. I take off the nametag, go around the counter and smile to him.
Me: "K, she thinks I'm gonna bow to her. I don't bow do I?"
K *trying VERY hard to keep a serious face* "No mistress."
Me: "See, I don't bow. He does. Be a good boy K. Bow for me."
K: *bows*
This lady damn near died. I have a full blown 6 foot plus, built male, bowing to lil old me. Who wins now?!
