Default Sucky Customer Victory

Went to watch a movie with my best mate. (It was Red Door and was quite good actually)
So, we are sitting through the ads and people are talking really loudly, their mobile phone are going off and they are laughing, really loud "look at me" type laughing. ( But we are British, so we don't look )
We say, it's an arthouse film, people who talk through movies probably wouldn't be sitting here. WRONG!
The film starts and they keep talking, only a little bit quieter and the phone now starts beeping instead of ringing.
After a while, the people around them get really annoyed and say suff like;
"I wish they would shut up!"
"Why come to the cinema to talk?"
"Get out"

They quieten down a bit, but still keep talking. Someone gets really angy and screams, get the F*** out" Somebody else anounces they are going to get the manager. They get up (forced to miss part of the movie) and as they walk by the Irritating Little People are there, who then start to shout.
"Why the hell are you getting involved?"
"Shut up, go back to your seat and mind your own business"
By this point I am furious so I turn around and start shouting
"Just get out"
and a man says and
"Stop with the phone"
Then someone says
(cough)idiot(cough)
At this point we just stop and collapse into giggles, half the cinema is giggling.
The poor Cinema Attendant walks in, he says
CA Please leave the cinema
ILP No
CA Please leave the cinema now, you are causing a distubance
ILP No, we paid to get in here
CA I'm sorry if you don't leave i will have to go and call the police
ILP Will we get our money back?
Cinema (giggles)
CA I am asking you to leave
ILP We should get our money back
CA You can't get your money back,I asked you to leave.
They get up!
We then start to applaud and most of the people join in.

If only that could happen every time...

I love this one second-run/arthouse theater. They serve beer and wine for most shows, so only twice a week do they allow children in the theater. And I have seen people tossed out for getting loud and/or swearing.

That was one of my favorite jobs when I worked in the movie theatre. The round of applause that you get for removing the jerks was well worth pissing off a couple SC's. And even better, at my theatre, there was no call the cops, we had a cop on site for all of the busy shows, so he was already at the end of the hall waiting for me to bring em on down. If it took more than a minute, he came up and got them.

You Brits are so polite. In certain neighborhoods in NY or LA, the other patrons would have ripped them from limb to limb for being so damn brazen about their cell phones.

Please trim quotes when giving a short answer, folks - it's nicer for others that way

Don't make assumptions... in a cinema, a mate of mine snatched a guy's mobile phone and threw it accross the cinema cuz he wouldn't stop blabbing on it. And I once threatened a teen with taking his phone and shoving up his arse if he didn't stop playing with it during a film. I guess that could count as cinema rage?

That always boggles my mind, why people even bother going to a movie if they are just going to power text message and chit chat the whole time. I mean, just about everyone has a cell, and I bring mine with me, but it's on silent the whole time. It's common courtesy to others.

What really drives me nuts is the little glow I see out of the corner of my eye when a power-texter is near me....and those idiots who bring their walkie talkie phones to the theater and chirp chirp chirp chirp all throughout the damn previews and the show.

Came out of a movie one time and the at-the-time-boyfriend-who's-name-is-not-to-be-uttered asked me what I was torqued about. Well, the two erm, *charming young ladies* sitting next to me were text messaging each other through the whole damn movie! Just as irritating as talking.

There was another time that some woman up behind me kept asking her companion what was going on. Apparently it was just too hard to come to the movie and pay attention to it! And she didn't even have a cell phone!
