I got talked to that a lot back when I was an auxilliary police officer, "I PAY MUH TAXES" was apparently the super secret code words that would allow you to park wherever you wanted to, drive on streets closed for construction, park in a reserved lot having made no reservation, or leave your car in the middle of an active street for an hour or two.

Sadly they were mistaken

My all-purpose comeback? "Glad you do Sir/Ma'm, I'd hate to see you in prison for tax evasion"

You are all of course correct. I do pay my taxes just like he does. The only big issue here is that when working for a county gov't, they are always going to side with the patron. ALWAYS. It really sucks that you feel like you can't complain about someone scaring you because you are afraid of being fired. I did however ask a few of the other people who saw the outbursts to write their names and numbers down for me. I will begin to compile a list. I will fight this out if need be. I won't let some little jerk make me afraid to sit behind my desk.

Paying your taxes =/= the right to be an asshole.

Heaven knows, if you acted towards him the way he acted towards you, he'd be the first to flip his shit, and you claiming that you pay your taxes won't get you out of trouble. Yet for some reason it works for him.

Surely there is a way around this? Can't HR or Security do something about this jerk?

even though you're a government employee you may have the right to force someone to leave if they're being disruptive.

or you can just ask the boss if you're allowed to have the police escort the snot off of the property.
