  • Five days and five nights

So, with Other MOD babysitting another property and Boss Man on vacation, that just leaves me to run things. Normally, I only spend one or two nights a week at work, but this time, I get to spend five days and nights in a row here at the motel!

I get $20/day per diem for food, plus gas comp, so that's $100 just for food.

I have to deal with all the pissy customers. (If this morning so far is any indication, there will be plenty of SC stories.)

Extra money means Hubs and I can go out for a nicish dinner.

Being on duty means no drinking for me at nicish dinner.

I get to watch TV channels in my motel room (I don't have cable or satellite at home).

I have to deal with pissy coworkers that I otherwise would be able to avoid.

The apartment will stay clean since no one will really be there to make a mess.

I won't have easy access to my computer at home for these five days.

So yeah, there are ups and downs to this.
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

May the ups outweigh the downs.
Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.
