  • Once again, people fail to READ

So I got this toy pony (Yes, I collect toy ponies) and there's this meme involving socks, and I'll keep this short and just say that I made adorable little socks for my toy pony to wear.

But the toy I got is technically not out in stores yet, I persuaded an employee to get one from the back for me, so I could buy it early.

So everywhere I've posted this toy pony to, instead of "cute socks!" I've been getting "OMG that toy! How did you get it? Where do I get one!" (Annoying, but understandable, it's a very sought-after toy.)

So this last place I went to post it to I included complete instructions for how I got it. Where, how much it cost, what the product number was so you can have an employee look it up and see if their store has them in the back yet, the whole deal. There was more text on there about how to get it than there was about me making the socks.

First comment on that post... "OMG, where did you get it? How do I get one?"

I can relate! I often post items I've made on various crafting websites, sometimes with links to tutorials. The amount of times I get "wow can you post a tutorial?!" when there is a clear link... I think sometimes people just like to look at the pretty pictures.

I think you should make socks for our resident bacon-loving pony.

I have a lot of ponies. Though my collection is tiny compared to any serious collectors. I just collect the ones I like. I have some from when I was a little kid in the early 80s.

Seriously, it has wings, a crown, AND an alicorn. And such pretty socks! Okay, it's probably a good thing that the socks don't come with it, because my daughter would lose them right away...

He he he. They're a Target exclusive. And they're putting them out officially this week, so you just nip down to your local Target. Though this one comes in a set with her sister, so you have to buy both, and the set is $30. There's a cheaper set with a mini of this alicorn, and a hard plastic version of the sister, that's I think $11. (I almost got that one too, but I decided I really didn't need two of her.)
