It was Thur., and I was on the first floor (maybe at 10?)when a white woman in a blue jacket, who was maybe 40-60 years old, came up to and asked a question. I can't remember what it was, maybe "where are the magazines." My "this woman ain't right" senses were tingling. So this won't be the last time I see her.

so I go to the third floor at 1pm to releave cw1. I see securtiy and the cop there. Cw1 starts the long story about cww, who was using a cell phone at a table at the window. Cww was loud and S came by to warn her and tell her if she isn't quiet she will be asked to leave. cw1 tells me that cww told bl that she was slave. Cop offered to give cww a noggy.
S and cop leaves and cw1 gets on the phone to let someone know toliet paper was needed in the public men's bathroom. Cww had unplugged her phone and got her stuff and came up to me. She sees cw1 on the phone and asks, "Is she calling security on me?" I tell her no, what I can help her with.
cww: I asked that woman (bl) to open my phone for me and she said I called her a slave. My father died in 1977, and his business partner was black. I worked with homeless black people. But that bitch (pointing to bl)...
me and cw1: uh, don't use language like that.
cww: That black man there blah blah blah (took the bl's side? Can vouch for cww? I can't remember.) I want to talk to a supervisor.
me: ok, let me call one (cw 1 got off phone already).
cww starts to leave.
me: ma'm you have to stay here if you want me to call a supervisor. The supervisor can't look for you all over the library.
cww: I'll be on the first floor at the front.
cww leaves.
cw1: do you want me to stay with you?
me:
no, I'll be fine.
so I call ca, to see if someone can talk to the cww, and ca patches me to Cl. I tell Cl what is going on.
rd: You librarians put up with a lot of crazy stuff.
Latter on I find out cww did go to the first floor, said something to the librarian at the desk in the front (something inconsequental), but left before talking to Cl.
I found it odd the bl was smiling a "cat at the canary" smile, but it was just crazy there.
