So if you read this: http://www.customerssuck.com/board/s...ad.php?t=91870
You know that during that day, one of the women fell through the board-cover that we have put over the rocky-pit-filled-unstable-mass that is the front of our building (note that on lakes, front = lakeside and not roadside.) This was allowed to exist because boats used to be wooden, and couldn't be taken out of the water to be worked on, so the building went right over the water.
So now her husband wants to sue us. He ranted and raved about how hurt his wife was. His wife walked around, no limp or anything like that, looking embarrassed. While her husband argued with one of the co-owners, she walked over to the accountant, whispered that she had a good time and she was sorry he was being a jerkface.
After she fell and my other boss arrived, he took all the boards out to discourage people from walking there. I hope his future plans include putting a stable platform there, sometime soon.
And, bonus addition:
Last year, I was just getting off work when I saw someone pull up to the gas dock. By the time I got to the dock, he had taken his gas cap off (IMPORTANT.) I filled up his stand-up jetskii (Also important), and once that was done, told him his total. He gave me a name, which meant he was going to have us send him the bill later. I run in to give the amount.
When I come back, he's gone, so I don't think about it much. Until a few days later, when I was asked to recount this in detail, because that gas cap never got back on the jetskii, and the guy got gasoline in his eyes. Because, before a stand-up jetskii goes fast, you have to lie on it.
We were pretty concerned he was going to sue, being a law student in a family full of lawyers, but once it was made clear I never even physically touched the jetskii, they backed down.
I feel bad for both of these guys. They genuinely got hurt. At least, in both cases, the pain was temporary, if more serious in the second case.
