Normally when the schools finished I go full time at the pub. Boss Lady wanted me in the kitchen next week but was struggling with the schedule as on Christmas Eve it closes early and on Christmas Day it isn't even open at all!
Mondays and Tuesdays are the days I definately work at the pub. Anything else I do as favours or cover. Boss Lady couldn't find a shift for me on Monday with the limited kitchen opening time, and Christmas Day is volunteers only on the bar, so she automatically gave me them off.
She had a complete blonde moment and assumed I was still at school for the rest of the week so she didn't schedule me in any further.
Long story short, guess who has the whole Christmas week off work!
It was a complete fluke. She buried her hands over her face when I read it and said "Don't worry, I'll make you pay for that the week after!"
