I hate to imagine how much the "ink" cartridges would cost.

Can't be more expensive than Lexmark's color cartridges.

Me: Okay..so I think I get why Zoro wears a bandana
          DDD: Cuz it's cool

So, by using the Doctor's reasoning, bow ties, fezzes and bandanas are cool.

Wow. I predict many custom chocolate websites popping up in a few years.

wouldn't they melt too quickly though?

Although I suppose if you were creative, you could make a chocolate dildo with a line of white chocolate cascading down one side....

What would be better than 3D printed chocolate would be deep-fried 3D printed chocolate! You print the chocolate, freeze it, smother it with batter after it solidifies and deep-fry the heck out of it!

Heck, 3D printed anything would taste better deep-fat-fried!

Even a 3D printed AR15 lower receiver? Yep, some people have published on-line the file to print one of those. For those who haven't read the stories, on an AR15 it's the lower receiver that's the part with the serial number, and which determines whether it's semiauto-only or selective fire. Legally, the lower receiver IS the gun, and everything else is just parts.

Of course, 3D printed plastic isn't as durable as die-cast aluminum (from what I've read, they usually break after the first couple magazines). I wonder how long it'll be before somebody scales it using a shrink rule, prints it in wax instead of plastic, then investment-casts it using the lost wax method.
