So I'm standing out in front of the store, holding my little tray of tea samples, when a quartet of young women walks by. I make some kind of movement as they walk past -- can't remember what it was; maybe I shifted my position a bit, or turned my head slightly.

Whatever I did, it caused one of the girls to shy away from me like a startled horse.

"JEEZ!! That girl is real! I thought she was a mannequin!!"

I love when stuff like that happens!

Not to mention I was flattered by her use of the word "girl," since my girlhood is LONG behind me!

Better than what happened to hubby and me... we were waiting to turn at a stop light, and were commenting about how the sign waiver at the intersection had such perfect form, he was moving the sign at a constant speed in a steady pattern that was easy to follow and read... before we realized it was a mannequin with the sign on an oblong track
