I have a very straight laced friend who recently flew to another country and umm... got lucky. That's not the brain burp - I'm very happy for him.
The brain burp is this: when he got back he asked me why the hotel staff were weird with him the next morning even though they'd allowed him a second person in his room for that period of time.
Yes, he actually asked the hotel staff if it was ok to have another person in the room even though it was only booked for one.
I told him they will only worry about it for one of two reasons: Over occupancy/fire reg issues OR if you intend to both use the breakfast the next morning and that is charged per person.
