Last year I was stopped at a red light and I happened to see a car coming up in the left turn lane, which also had a red light, really fast. Just as I finished thinking, "If that guy doesn't start slowing down REAL fast he isn't going to be able to stop for the red light" it registered that there was an equally fast moving police car with lights and sirens right on the guys tail. Luckily the person who would have been broadsided realized what was going on and stopped for his green light as the car flew through the intersection. After slowing briefly the cop car once again went in hot pursuit.

Never did find out how that ended or what it was all about.
