So because of my role as an emergency after-hours worker, I end up filling the boots of a "colleague". So while my name is fireheart, I might end up acting out the role of "k", "r", "c" etc.
The other day, K asked me to come up with an activity since I was filling her shift. So I thought it over and came up with an activity of doing chalk/pastels on black paper. Didn't think the kids would like the idea so much, but it was something different.
I was wrong.
They LOVED it.
In fact, they even came up with ideas I hadn't thought of! (for instance, oil pastel over chalk pastel)
I had to go home before the outcome, but I'll be able to see the outcome next week.
