A lot of people mistake the Amish for Luddites. They're not. They don't hate technology, they just feel that they can live their lives without it as much as possible. If they have to utilize some level of tech to work with the laws/community, they have no problem doing so.

Most of the technology that might seem "strange" to be in an Amish home is actually powered by gas or a generator (independent one). Inverters are also frequently used for that reason.

I'm just more surprised that people can pack several benches into an Amish home for their church services!
I've seen Amish buggies with LED head/tail lights. Seems odd for them to use high-tech, but it makes sense - their jurisdiction requires the lights to make them more visible to other road users, lights need to run on batteries because the buggy doesn't have a generator, so they use the most energy-efficient lights available to get the longest possible runtime from their battery.

This has to be staged. Guy SITTING on a windshield of a moving car - even lying back and kicking his feet for fun.

and yes, normally their cars are set up like the ones in the US - drive on the right, driver sits on the left. (but cannot see the driver in this vid cos the tint is too dark)

Well, with the Amish one, there are different flavors of Amish. New Order Amish may sometimes use cell phones. Whatever the Order, as long as the bishop clears it, they can use certain technologies, generally for business or farming purposes.
Or health reasons as well. Some orders also have phone booths set up in semi-convenient locations that are only capable of outgoing calls, so that way the Amish can still conduct business, but not abuse the phone.

(ie if family member needs oxygen, they will get oxygen)

    Someone forgot how to Amish.

If you're Amish and you're seeing this, WHY ARE YOU ON THE INTERNET? Go back to the fields!

    O. M. G. Someone started a rumor that you can charge a phone battery by putting it in the microwave for a MINUTE? And... even worse, someone actually believed it?
