How can a prank phone call cause thousands of dollars of damage you might ask? Well when the caller claims the hotel is on fire and instructs the desk clerk or even guest to smash sprinklers and then drive a truck thru the lobby to silence the fire alarm set off by the sprinkler flow switch.
This is apparently happened to multiple hotels in some way.

Why, WHY would you smash a sprinkler when their is no fire or smoke. Why!!!!!!???? At most call the Fire Dept if you get the prank call and let them come out just to make sure. Morons.
