After seeing this vid I put one together yesterday evening. This son of a bitch works MUCH BETTER than those "amplified antennas" at the store.
One station 20 miles away that would only raise a 40 percent signal will bring in a 60 percent signal with it.
I put it outside and it'll pick up one station around here from 45 miles away. With the store-bought antenna for 40 bucks it wouldn't even raise a signal on that station. This one cost me only 10 bucks in parts. :hat
I bet if you could mount one of those suckers on a tower it would blow you away.
BTW Even though it's primarily for UHF, it will still pick up local VHF stations just fine.
