Wow, that is news to a lot of us who used to work in the industry (minimum wage, part time, no benefits).
My job at the hotel is considered good pay for the industry in Salt Lake and it is still less than a lot of their lowest paying jobs listed.

Yeah, I was surprised at how high some of the apparent "wages" were. I have NEVER made 9.15/hr in any of the cashier jobs I've hard, regardless of exprience.

they forgot pizza delivery drivers. we make anywhere between $4 and $6 per hour in wages, get little compensation for our cars (this is supposed to come out of our tips which is illegal and the comp barely covers our gas but little else), get crapped on for tips because of the delivery charge, and do insider work for less than minimum wage

I made $7.20/hour working as a desk clerk (aka -- that guy who does everything, and I do mean everything) after five years at motel hell.

i know, right? as a food prep "specialist," i wish i made $8.71. hell...i'd be happy to make $8. well, i do get tips. i made $1.50ish today!
