  • We finally hit a breakthrough!

So I had my seventh therapy session today (out of 12) with my psychologist, where I talked to her about my new temp job and we discussed what sets off my anxiety at work as that's where the majority of my issues have flared up.

Turns out that some of it can be traced back to my issues with my childhood, but the rest can be traced towards me being "highly sensitive." My previous psych has mentioned this and I brought this up with my current psych. We agreed that this might be where to take my treatment. I'll admit that I used to see it as being blessed with suck, because it was a blessing when I was working with children, but suck in that if there's too much going on at once, that can set me off. Because I'll mostly be working with machines and not so much with human beings, it might give me a chance to "turn off" a bit.

It's kind of ironic, as I'm looking at receptionist jobs
