I walked into a small subsidiary of Giant Box Bookstore today. I go there regularly to collect a magazine (that they hold for me 
) and a staff member comes up to greet me.
SM: "[Pixelated], I'm so sorry!"
Me: "Eh? What?"
SM: "I'm really sorry ..."
Me: "Oh, about my mother. Thank you!"
SM:
"What ... your mother ... NOOOO ... I meant about your store closing! What about your mother??"
A sincere thank you, kind SM, it's just been one of those months.
