If we play the Pens I wouldn't mind making Crosby cry again. Though it's fun playing an Original Six team and a rival at that.

I might scope out Washington. They are the first team I ever got to watch play live. It's so funny, 'cause when I saw them, they played terribly. Later, when I was seeing how well they were doing, I said to my SO, "Wow, they must have been having a bad night when we saw them- they're actually GOOD." His response was, "Well, THAT'S how I hoped they would have played since it was your first game and all...oh well."

His attempt to get me into it worked, anyway.

And well, since the 'Canes managed to beat out my Devils, might follow their progress as much as possible, too. I have to admit it was a really close run, and Cam Ward pulled out some amazing stops in the last few games. Wouldn't mind seeing what else they do.

My mom's funny about this. I thought I was bummed out, she was still carrying on about the loss last night. I figure there's always next season...and now I can start following a lot earlier.

I didn't get to see any of the games, but I kept up with the NHL.com stuff. I was sad when I saw my team lose. Damn Blackhawks! Ah, well. Such is life, now I guess I'll cheer on the Canucks since my close buddy (from another site) who is the only friend I talk to about hockey, likes them.

I LOVE the first round of the playoffs. I've been too busy watching playoffs to hang out here, though.

Calgary lost in the first round (Booo!) but I'll be the first to admit that the better team won that series. I can't wait for the second round series'--Pittsburg/Washington and Anaheim/Detroit should both be fantastic, and both will probably go the distance.

Probably, though they'll likely let you live as long as you aren't a Leafs fan.

DesignFox, I'm not going to quote your entire post, as that's just too much. But a lot of the things you posted aren't unique to the Devils. Chanting "SUCKS" when an opposing player is announced is a common thing at Jets games. Chanting "asshole". Yea, did that in high school even. Or the Hey Song and sing "Hey, you suck!" No originality with Devils fans.

Eh, my experience with sports is limited. But when I went to the Caps game in Washington they didn't do that stuff. I don't remember people at the Phillies game (the only baseball game I've ever attended) doing that to the Diamondback players, either.
